GM Rewards FAQ
Have you been wondering how does the GM Rewards card work? It provides access to the GM Rewards program, which was designed to deliver appreciation to GMC owners again and again. We're answering our FAQ at Gillman Chevrolet GMC to showcase all the perks.
What is a GM Rewards Card?
The GM Rewards card is a My GM Rewards® Mastercard®. It's a credit card, so you can use it at any establishment that accepts Mastercard®. You'll need to apply for the card, just as you would any other credit card.
What are the Rewards?
After you're approved for a My GM Rewards® Mastercard®, you can enroll for GM Rewards. (Current cardmembers will be automatically enrolled.) You'll earn seven points for every dollar that you spend on GM purchases, which includes new GMC vehicles and other eligible purchases made at participating GM dealerships. You'll also earn four points for every dollar spent elsewhere.
How Do I Use My Points?
When you visit a participating GM dealership, you simply need to let them know that you'd like to apply your GM Rewards points toward your purchase or lease. You can also utilize your points at your GMC service appointments. Plus, you can use it for other eligible purchases such as new GMC parts or accessories.
What Do the Tiers Mean?
GM Rewards members fall into one of three tiers - Silver, Gold, or Platinum. They each benefit from points on new vehicle purchases, points on a new Protection Plan, special offers, and a birthday bonus. Gold and Platinum members also get merchandise discounts and additional redemption options. Platinum members also get platinum experiences, rollover spend, and dedicated support.
What are the Other Perks?
There are several other exclusive perks to owning a My GM Rewards® Mastercard®. These perks include:
- Fuel/EV statement credit offer every calendar year
- Vehicle detailing allowance every calendar year
- Statement credit for OnStar plans and GM Financial and Protection Plans
